Florida Day Two

Day Two of Florida was beach day. We woke up pretty early and was sitting around just talking when all of a sudden the apartment alarm started going off. It was soo loud and annoying we were wondering what turned it on and also trying to figure out how to turn it off. We were so confused why did it start going off when Mary says well I pushed this button before it started going off. Once we looked closely at the button it said push for emergency only :) So Mary set the alarm off. We had to have the maintenance guy come over and turn the alarm off for us. So here is a pic with Mary and the button she pushed.

After we figured out the alarm we got ready and headed to the beach. Here is Nettie and Mary excited to go to the beach.

Here is a picture of Nettie, Mary, and Russ at the beach. It was so pretty (white sand and green water)

Mary and I at the beach.

We had a nice setup on the beach. Thanks Russ for being so thoughtful and buying us some shade!!

So when you go to the beach you have to play in the sand. Nettie bought some bubbles and she had a hay day with them. Her is a pic with Nettie and her bubbles.

While Nettie was trying to build and sand castle Russ and I buried Mary in the Sand.

After burying Mary in the sand we decided to help Nettie with the Sand Castle, but in the end we ended up making me turn into Ursula. Below is a pic of me guarding the somewhat little Sand Castle Nettie had started to build.

After playing in the sand we decided to take a little walk down to the pier. Below is a picture of Nettie and Russ.

After taking pictures we noticed this giant water slide out on the beach. We had to go check it out.

After watching a few people go down we decided we needed to try the slide out. Here is Nettie going down the slide.

Autumn going down the slide.

After the slide we decided we needed to go back to our little beach station to make sure no one stole our stuff :) As we were walking back we stopped and watched a skim boarder. I guess in the Gulf they don't get big waves so they really can't surf so they have to skim board. I had never heard of it before but the guy below was pretty good at it.

After watching the skim boarder we continued our walk back to our beach station when we came across someone catching a fish off of the pier. The fish was so big he had to walk it all the way up to the beach. We were right there when he got it to the beach so I got to take a quick picture.

That's the end of Day Two. Tomorrow I will be blogging about our New Orleans trip.
