Salt Lake City Dew Tour!!!

Drew called up Nettie and I asking us if we wanted to go to the Dew Tour with him. Being the great sisters we are, we decided this could be something fun and something new for the both of us. Drew came down Friday night and the three of us ended up going to the Dew Tour on Saturday. Here our the three of us in the Energy Solutions Area waiting for the Skate Park Final to start.
We first went outside and watched the BMX Park Final. Wow amazing!!! I can't believe the tricks they were doing on their bikes. I would be soo soo very scared to do any of them. Here is a pic of a rider going off a big jump he was doing a 360 and I got him when we was facing backwards.
More BMX Pics.

We got pretty hot outside so we decided to go inside and watch the skateboarding. A pic of Nettie and I in ESA watching the skateboarding.

Here is one of the pro skaters riding the rail.

It was pretty amazing they would do tricks and jump a picnic table.

We are glad that Drew convinced us to take him to the Dew Tour. It was fun hanging out and bounding as siblings. I had some really cool videos but they wouldn't upload. I think they were to long. So you just get pics. Sorry!!

Labor Day!!

We went home to Soda for the long Labor Day weekend. We decided to walk down and see Steam Boat Springs since the reservoir is so low. It was really cool you usually can only see bubbles from the golf course, but since it was low you could actually see the little springs. For those who didn't know this was a great stop for the pioneers on the Oregon Trail. The picture below is Summer, Bill, Lilly and Drew.

Family pic for Summer.

Rich and I

The other reason we went home was to watch Summer and Bill in the UOBIRAC golf tournament in Soda. Summer and her partner Tom Fuechsel made it to the final day on Monday. We all went out to support Summer. Here is Summer on hole 3.

Summer and her partner did great. This is them in a tie breaker for first or second. Tom is getting Summer ready for the winning putt.

Summer just put in the winning putt. She was just getting ready to jump.

Summer and her partner Tom. Congrats guys on the awesome win. They are the 2009 UOBIRAC winners. Summer is an awesome golfer just like my dad.

Lilly even came out to the golf course to cheer on her Mommy!!!

Here is a close up pic of Lilly in her cute white dress. She was a little sleepy, but she is always so darn cute!!

After the temple we went to Summer and Bill's house were they blessed Lilly. Then we had a yummy luncheon in the backyard. But I didn't take any pictures of that sorry. Congrats Summer and Bill we just love Lilly and so excited she is yours forever!

A Weekend In Soda!!

We went home this past weekend. Since it was my birthday last Tuesday my Mom had made me a cake. When I got home of Friday they sang Happy Birthday to me and then we had some yummy cake. Nettie and Drew had went to the store earlier and forgot to take the ice cream out of the car so we were minus ice cream.

After church on Sunday we decided to go to second bridge because they lowered the reservoir in Soda back down to the river. I have never seen the reservoir so low in my life. It was fun walking around a somewhat Soda beach :)

My dad bought a metal detector some years ago. So we decided to take it with us and see what we could find. Here is Drew modeling with the metal detector.

Standing around waiting to see what our treasure is going to be.

Nettie taking her turn in digging.

In the end it was only a pop can :( But it was an old old Pepsi Free pop can. I have never seen that kind of can before so it must be really old.

We also came along some dead carp. Nasty big fish!!!

A picture of Rich and I so you know we were there too.

Its always fun to go home to Soda!!!

My 26th Birthday!!!!

Tuesday August 25th was my 26th Birthday. I don't like working on my birthday so I took the day off. It was nice to sleep in and then I went and got my oil change because I'm headed up to Idaho this weekend and needed to get it done before my trip. My wonderful boyfriend Rich took a half day so that we could play. We were going to go to Park City and go down some alpine slides and zip line but the morning turned out rainy and we didn't want to chance it so we ended up going to Heber to ride the Heber Valley Train.

A pic of us before we got on the Train.

The train went around the Deer Valley Reservoir. Here we are posing for a pic.

We were the last ones off the Train so I had to be silly and Rich took a pic.

Before we got on the Train I noticed this machine that smashes your penny into a picture. I told Rich I kind of wanted to do that because I remember doing it when I was younger. So when we got off the Train he gave me the money so I could do it.

We still ended up going to Park City. We went up to the Olympic Park there and went through the museum. They had some fun stuff to play with. Here I am in a bobsled.

Rich doing the 3-D Downhill.

They had these fun games that you had to see how fast you could roll down your marble. I almost got the best score for the day. I did it in 1.9 secs and the best score was 1.7.

After Park City we went to Dinner at Ruth's Diner. It is a way neat place where you eat outside. The food is yummy and the atmosphere is awesome.

When I got into work today some of the girls had decorated my cubicle. Good thing I carry my camera where ever I go so I could take a pic.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I had a great day!!!

"Gotcha Day"

Today was a special day for our family, especially for Summer and Bill. We went down to the Salt Lake City Courthouse and finalized the adoption for Lilly. What an amazing experience. I think we all shed some tears in the courtroom. Here is a pic of Summer, Bill, and Lilly outside the courtroom.

The judge was so nice and let them take a picture with him. He only had one condition and that was he had to hold Lilly. Sorry Summer this is the best pic I have of your guys and your eyes were close. Don't hate me for posting it :)

Picture with Grandma and Grandpa in the courtroom. We have trouble keeping our eyes open I guess!!

Picture with the Aunts. Nettie, me, and Bill's sister Julia.

After finalizing the adoption we had to go celebrate. We went and had breakfast at Ruth's Diner up Immigration Canyon. It was a really yummy place to go eat at. I want to go back sometime. Below is a pic of Mom, Dad, and Nettie.

Picture of Summer, Bill, and Julia at Ruth's Diner.

Summer didn't really have breakfast she ended up getting a BLT. There was a pickle on her plate and we decided to see if Lilly liked pickles. Summer hates pickles and was like I hope she hates them and Bill was like I hope she likes them. Lets see who won . . .

Lilly loves pickles!!! She didn't pull a funny face at all. In fact she didn't want us to take it away from her. It was sooo cute. I guess she is going to eat everything just like her Dad!!!
Nettie and I are so glad we took the day off so we could be part of the experience. It was just a wonderful day. We are so glad Lilly is ours for good. She brings so much joy into our family. Can't wait for next weekend when she gets blessed and sealed to Summer and Bill!!!

Summer's Family Reunion

Summer time calls for family reunions. My grandpa Summer's side get together every other year to have a family reunion. This year we went to Island Park. Nettie and I decided to leave on Wednesday and go stay the night with Summer and Bill in Idaho Falls. The next morning we took a stop in Rexburg to go down memory lane of our college years at BYU-I. Here Nettie and I are posing in front of the BYU-I sign.

We stopped at our old complex Brookside and took a picture of our old door 209. We had a blast in this apartment with awesome roommates. We nicknamed our apartment Club 209.

We ran over to Alpine Chalet to take a picture of our home away from home. I think sometimes we spent more time at our guy friends apartment than ours. This pic is for you Russ, Matt, Mike, Jay, John, and Jared.

We had to have lunch at Craigo's. This was our favorite pizza place in Rexburg. They have the best $5 large pepperoni pizza ever. When you are a college student that is a cheap yummy meal. I think Toni and I got to the point were we could each eat half of the pizza. No wonder I was fat!!

After our quick stop in Rexburg we head to Island Park. My mom's side of the family got together and rented out a cabin. It was sooo nice and sooo much fun to all be together.

Here we are just chillin on the balcony of our cabin and eating snacks.

Summer, Nettie, and Stephanie chillin and posing for a pic.

Well for me I had an adventure while in Island Park. I think right when I stepped out of my car my eye started to guber, turn red, and hurt. It kept getting worse as the night went on and I started getting a sore throat too. I usually wear contacts and this past eye doctor appointment I got some emergency glasses. Good thing I did and also that I brought them on my trip. They came in handy. My mom and Bill made me an eye match because my eye was bugging me so bad. Here is a ridiculous picture of what I looked like.

The next morning my eye and throat still weren't better and I had a fever. Today was suppose to be the big family get together and I was sick. My mom called and got me a doctors visit for 3:30 in Ashton. The bad thing was the family get together was at 2. My mom and I got to go and visit for a little bit and eat and then we were off to the doctor. I ended up with pink eye and strep throat. So not cool!! I just want to tell my Mom thanks so much for missing out on her family and taking me to the doctors. I really appreciated it. Your the best Mom ever and I Love You to death. Here is a pic of me with my my meds at the doctors office.

Friday night Summer, Nettie, our Aunt Stephanie, and I went to Big Springs. Here is a scenery pic.

One of the highlights of Big Springs are the huge fish. We were kind of bummed because we forgot to bring bread to feed to the fish.

Nettie and I wanted to get up close and personal with the fish so we got down on our back to get a close up pic with the fish. Can you see any??

Group pic at Indian Springs. I love self timers :)

That night my dad grilled hot dogs for us. We weren't very hungry after the yummy big lunch we had earlier. Thanks Dad for making some awesome yummy hot dogs.

There was a loft in the cabin and had this cute window looking down into the family room. So we decided to take a cute sister pic.

On Saturday we went rafting. They were going to do two different runs. The first run started at 8:30 in the morning. I decided I wanted to go. We ended up having only six of us on the early morning run. The picture below is my cousin Nathan, Bill, and my Uncle John.

Here is the other half me, my cousin Brittney, and my Uncle Alan. I'm glad I woke up early we had a lot of fun.

My brother in law Bill loves to fish while we are rafting. His line got caught and he jumped out of the raft into the freezing river to go save his hook. What a crazy boy.

My cousin Nathan and Uncle John grabbed onto a near by doc so that Bill could float down to us and get back into the raft. This was the excitement for our morning rafting trip.

After our morning rafting trip we went back to the cabin to get everyone else for the second trip. Here some of us in the back of my Uncles truck getting ready to go rafting.

Raft #1 My family. Aren't we all so cute. Bill was taking the picture so he isn't in it.

Family picture of Summer, Bill, and Lilly. This was Lilly's first rafting trip at 5 months. She did an awesome job. She slept through the whole thing except for getting in and getting out. We love our Lilly she brings soo much fun to our family.

Raft #2 Some of my Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Raft #3 Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles, and more cousins.

We came across a rope tied to a tree that you could use to jump into the river. I finally got brave and jumped in. The water was freezing butt cold. It was a lot of fun. I'm kind of upset with myself because I had a video of Nettie and I jumping in but I deleted them when I ran out of space on my memory card. Sorry Nettie, she was a little upset with me.

After rafting we headed to West Yellowstone to go to a play. We stopped at the famous resting area were fresh water comes right out of these rocks. It is some yummy water. Here is Nettie getting a cup full.

Nettie, Drew, and I went to the play Footloose with my Uncle Alan and his family. It was really run to watch. Here is a group pic outside of the playhouse.
Nettie and I had a wonderful weekend with the fam. We are so glad to be so close to our extended family. We love them all so much and enjoy spending time with them!!
